On May 11, 2020, MERETI presented a research webinar that featured the research study performed by former MERETI trainees Enas Ameen and Zynab Mohammed. Their research involved a survey study that assessed the awarenesses, perceptions, and attitudes of undergraduates and post-graduates regarding research ethics and research ethics training. They surveyed more than 700 individuals from Suez Canal University and Beni Suef University. Their results led them to conclude that there is a need for more educational initiatives for postgraduates and a formal undergraduate research ethics course for all medical students.
More than twenty individuals from the MERETI program attended the webinar and gave useful feedback. The webinar can be viewed by clicking here or by following this youtube link: https://youtu.be/6nqreeZx-sA
