Rehab Abdel Hai’s Presentation at PRIM&R

Rehab Abdel Hai, Associate Professor at the Public Health Department at Cairo University, gave a presentation on the controversial topic of how to ensure post-trial access to drugs that are studied in international research.
Dr. Rehab set the stage for the discussion by detailing the scope of clinical trials being performed in the Middle East.  Following this, she then discussed the extent to which the Egyptian population lack adequate access to health care.   Dr. Rehab’s gave a convincing argument that because so many individual lack adeqaute access to health care, there is a real concern for exploitation, unless there are agreements upfront that ensure adequate post-trial access to any drugs that are discovered to be effective in the study, in addition to efforts to enhance the capacity of the research infrastructure in the clinical sites that conduct the studies.

    Hello

This is a really nice presentation and address the local needs of Egyptian patients. Thank you. But I would have loved if I was able to look at some of the figures Dr Rehab presented and she referred to during the talk. Is it possible to attach a pdf file of the presentation to go with the video?
