The 2018 MERETI trainees began their 3-week summer training in Research Methodology and Research Ethics on June 24 and will continue for 3 weeks, ending on July 12. The training is being conducted in collaboration with Heliopolis University and is taking place at the Sekem Guest House, which is outside of Cairo. This year’s group is comprised of 9 individuals from Egypt, 4 from Sudan, 2 from Morocco, and 1 from Lebanon. In addition to research methodology and research ethics, the summer training is focused on enhancing several skills competencies, including scientific writing, oral presentations, pedagogy, and critical thinking. In September, the trainees will enter the online learning portion of the MERETI program.
